What comes with a Panda Express Plate?

A Plate combines one side with two entrée choices. It is the middle option between a one-entrée Bowl and a three-entrée Bigger Plate. Choosing a Plate gives you two flavors in one meal format, but it does not mean that the package contains two large à la carte boxes. Confirm local selections before ordering.

Choose the side first, then both entrées. A half-and-half base may be available at the selected restaurant, but its nutrition should reflect the actual portions. A premium protein can add to the total even when the base Plate price looks unchanged on the first menu screen.

Plate prices and estimated starting costs

The supplied Plate article illustrated a starting estimate of $10.60 and a broader local estimate around $10.60 to $12.50. Those figures are retained as illustrative estimates, not verified current checkout prices. Your location, ordering channel and chosen premium proteins can move the total outside that range.

Compare complete orders when choosing between a Bowl and a Plate. Include the same drink and appetizer in each comparison, and review taxes or delivery charges at checkout. An extra entrée choice is useful only if you want that amount and variety; the larger format is not automatically the better purchase.

Rice, noodles and vegetable side options

White Steamed Rice creates a simple base for sauced entrées. Fried Rice and Chow Mein add their own seasoning and ingredients. Super Greens provides a vegetable base. With a half-and-half selection, use the actual proportion of each component to estimate the meal instead of adding two complete side servings.

Published adult side figures are not the nutrition of every takeout container. A family side and a catering tray contain different amounts. The side selection on a Plate should be compared using its own standard serving, then combined with the two entrée servings.

Calculate Plate calories with an example

A meal calculation starts with the base. Using the listed standard portions, White Steamed Rice at 570 calories plus Orange Chicken at 560 and Grilled Teriyaki Chicken at 280 produces an illustrative total of 1,410 calories. A separate drink, dipping sauce or appetizer increases that total. Actual serving variation remains possible.

Another illustration is Super Greens at 180 calories plus Mushroom Chicken at 180 and String Bean Chicken Breast at 210, giving 570 calories for those components. These examples show the calculation method. They are not a complete range for all Plates, and a differently sized scoop or changed recipe can affect the result.

Two entrées that bring different flavors

A sweet, crisp choice and a grilled choice make a useful contrast if those are the flavors you enjoy. A beef dish and a vegetable-forward chicken option can create a different combination. A second serving of the same entrée is also a preference decision rather than a universal mistake. Check what your restaurant permits.

The photographs in this guide illustrate possible combinations. A named Orange Chicken Plate does not automatically establish what the second entrée or base must be. The entrée figure on that card therefore refers to the identified dish, with the base and second entrée counted separately.

Premium selections and substitutions

Honey Walnut Shrimp and steak selections can add a premium charge. Check whether the surcharge applies to each selected entrée portion and how it appears in your order. A larger premium charge in a Family Meal should not be substituted for the charge on a standard Plate.

Review the receipt or order summary before payment. If an item is unavailable, confirm the replacement instead of assuming it has the same price, ingredients or calories. A substitute entrée can change both the meal calculation and the flavor combination you planned.

Plate prices and calories

Read the serving column before adding calories. A standard entrée, a complete meal and a large tray are different quantities. Supplied price estimates can differ between guides and locations.

Frequently asked questions

Does a named Plate card include a fixed second entrée?

No. The picture is an illustration. The dish figure on a named entrée card does not establish the second selection or base.

Are these current prices for my restaurant?

They are illustrative estimates. Select your restaurant and ordering channel to see the current total, including premium choices and any extra charges.

Does one entrée number cover the full meal?

No. Add the selected base, each entrée, additional sauce, appetizers and drink. Family containers and catering trays have different quantities.
